Import Data via Shortcuts

Data export is currently only available through Apple’s Shortcuts app. For more information about the app, please refer to the Shortcuts User Guide.

You can create your own custom shortcut to import data from any source using the “Add New Reading” action from MeterStats. If you prefer not to go through this rather complex process, please use one of the following shortcuts, depending on the type of file you want to import:

You can customize the date format inside the shortcut to suit your needs. However, please ensure that it matches the CSV/TXT file perfectly; otherwise, the action will fail. The default format for the shortcuts above is: dd.MM.yyyy, HH:mm

You can also customize the text separator to your preference. A very common CSV separator, also used by Numbers, is a semicolon.

Export Data via Shortcuts

Data export is currently only available through Apple’s Shortcuts app. For more information about the app, please refer to the Shortcuts User Guide.

You can create a custom shortcut to export data to another app or save it as a file using the “Find Reading” action in MeterStats. If you’d rather avoid this complex process, you can use the following shortcut:

Unfortunately, the Shortcuts app doesn’t provide native support for exporting CSV files. However, the shortcut mentioned above will generate a TXT file that is formatted like a CSV. You can easily import this file by following the data import guide provided.
